Jacaranda trees are appreciated ornamental- and timber-trees which rise to a height of between 10 and 20 mts. The Jacaranda trees are dormant during the dry-season (December to January), dropping all it's leaves. When the dry-season is over it begins to bloom before the leaves have begun sprouting (May to July). The flowers are of a violet-blue shade
